Voila! Actual art drawn and submitted by me! 
I'd love to improve my art, so helpful comments, critiques and tips are welcome! You don't have to, but input would be great! And I love talking, so I'll be sure to answer back.
This was intended to be a picture of my gcc, Paelen, as an angel birdie....
...but my sister told me my sparkles looked like snowflakes and I just ran with that. We combined her idea with mine and now they are sparkly magic snowflakes.
And thus sprang the idea of him being a little angel birdie who spreads snowy cheer. (and lives in Neverland. ...Long story, I'll explain that bit later...) Being as little as he is, he can't bring much snow with him. But we've had a couple light dustings of snow this year, one even in time for Christmas, and we now have the idea that he is responsible. lol.
A BIT ABOUT PAELEN:
He was born on 10/25/13, three days before my birthday, came into our lives on the 3rd of Febuary, and he passed away on 7/20/14 due to a freak cat attack the day before. 
I say 'freak' attack because a stray managed to get into our HOUSE and attacked him. I still blame myself, but I know that no one could have seen it coming. Poor lil guy, he fought so hard, but the internal damage for too much for him.
His full name was Sir Paelen TwoTails (Paelen for short), because he had this weird habit of bending one of his tail feathers in such a way that it made him look he had two tails instead of one. He was also named after one of my favorite characters of Kate O'Hearn's "Pegasus and The Flame of Olympus." (A thief with winged sandals and in Roman mythology, it was said that he was the son of Mercury. Mercury, in his Greek persona Hermes, was the god of thieves. And in Roman Mythology, (in like the one mention I could find of Paelen,) he was known as the god of theives. So I thought this was a very fitting name for a bird who was a HUGE kleptomaniac.
And I mean HUGE. If he could manage somehow to drag it off, he'd steal it. ...I'm STILL finding stashes of stuff he stole and hid. 
My Paelen was a very fluffy cinnamon turquoise green cheek conure. (cinnamon turquoise was the name for his color. He was still a green cheek conure. There's many different colors of them, but they're still the same breed.) He was a loveable happy-go-lucky kleptomaniac and had an imagination vivid enough to rival the one I have. But he could sometimes be very pushy and rude and he didn't always make friends easily. It's a good thing he had good friends like myself and my Skittles to help keep him in line. But he also had what I called 'an annoyingly short attention span.' As well as a tendency to randomly burst into song, or spontaneous dances,
or to quote his disney favorite movies. He was the biggest chatterbox.
And he loved to give kissies. He wasn't the friendliest or most 'social' bird in the world, but once you gained his love, you had it forever.
He absolutely loved Peter Pan stories.
He was obssessed with watching the disney movies, listening to me read the books aloud and listening to the audio version I had. In a way, he WAS our Peter Pan.
He was the ringleader. Our inspiration of exploring every where, for seeing things differently, for listening to different music, and for finding the fun and the joy in everything; even little things that we would otherwise ignore. He was the the little boy who would never grow up. And now he always will be.
He was only in our lives for about 6 months, but he changed them forever and he stole a big chunk of our hearts.
Some people may not understand what the big fuss about a tiny little bird is....
....those people have never LOVED a bird and been loved BY a bird.
And therefore, they will never truly understand until they have done so themselves.

Aww, Paelen. I miss him too. He was one of a kind, that's for sure. Poor baby.
This looks great, you've certainly improved since a year ago.
I love how fluffy you made him. He always was so damn fluffy.
A few things though:
-Some of the 'snowflakes' look a lil sloppy, but it's not a big thing.
-you're shading and highlighting still needs work, but it has come a long way.
-and right there in the middle of the neck area, those feathers don't seem to follow the uhh.. the uhhh.. gosh, how do I say this? ...the flow of the other feathers? The angle! Yeah, they don't follow the same angles as the other ones.
But other than that, it's great! You certainly captured him.
He looks fantastic. I love that sparkle you added to his eye.
Is that white gel pen you used for all the sparkly bits? I know you've been going on about those white gel pens. And on. And on. And on.
Speaking of that.... who's this other gal who uses, and I quote: "toned sketchbooks and white gel pens and draws dragons and ponies and dragons and owls and ponies and uses white gel pens and it looks AWESOME and she draws PONIES! AND DRAGONS! AND OWLS! AND OTHER COOL STUFF! AND SHE CHATTERS NON STOP AND IT'S AWESOME!!" ...Unquote.
